If you want photos from an event you attended, ask the organizer who covered it and where the gallery was delivered. If you need to hire someone for a future event, start with photographers who show complete work from similar events in your area. These are different searches: finding an existing gallery and choosing a new provider.
Event Face Finder helps deliver and search event photos after they are uploaded. It does not operate a photographer directory or booking service.
Find the photographer from a past event
Check the event website's partner list, official photo credits, post-event email and captions on the organizer's social account. A photographer's name beside an image is a useful lead, but confirm whether they covered the whole event or supplied only that photograph.
Contact the organizer with the event name, date, venue and the session where you were photographed. Ask for the official photographer and guest gallery. At large events, different teams may cover the stage, portraits and networking.
If you spot a credit on a published image, use the name to find the photographer's own website. Avoid guessing someone's identity from their face or equipment.
Shortlist photographers for your next event
Search by event type and location, such as “conference photographer [city]” or “race photographer [region]”. Ask the venue or event team for providers they have worked with, then review each provider independently.
Request a complete gallery from an event with comparable lighting, audience size and schedule. A portfolio of selected portraits does not show how someone handles overlapping sessions or a crowded finish line.
Send a brief before comparing quotes
Include the date, venue, coverage hours, expected attendance and priority moments. State who needs the images, when the first selection is due and how guests should receive the final set.
Ask each candidate:
- Who will photograph the event, and is a second person needed?
- Which edits and file versions are included?
- When are the first selection and complete gallery due?
- How will travel, overtime and additional delivery be handled?
- Who answers guest questions after delivery?
Use the conference photographer guide for multi-room coverage and the conference shot list to prepare the agenda.
Agree on the guest handoff
Name one person responsible for sending the gallery link. Decide whether guests browse the whole set, receive selected folders or use a search option. Confirm downloads before announcing them.
If you already attended an event and only need its photos, start with recovering the gallery link. Booking a photographer for a future event will not recover unpublished pictures from a past one.
