Free QR code generator for event photos

Paste the link to your photo gallery or upload page, then download the QR code as a PNG or SVG. The code contains the link itself, so it never expires and you don't need an account.

Use the final gallery or photo upload page, and open it on your phone first.

Color and PNG size
#18181b

Dark colors on the white background scan best.

Largest sharp print width at 300 dpi. For bigger signs, use the SVG: it stays sharp at any size.

Paste a link to see your QR code.

Enter a valid link to download the QR code.

Static code: the link is stored in the code itself, with no redirect and no expiry date.

Print it so it scans the first time

01

Size

At least 2.5 cm (1 in) wide on table cards and programs. For signs, allow about 1 cm of code for every 10 cm of scanning distance, so plan a 20 cm code for guests standing 2 m away.

02

Contrast

Print a dark code on a light, matte background. Avoid pale colors, inverted codes and glossy lamination that reflects ceiling lights.

03

Margin

Keep the white border around the code, at least four squares wide. The downloads already include it: don't crop it or place text or a frame inside it.

04

Test

Print one proof at the real size and scan it with two different phones, from where guests will actually stand, before you order the rest.

05

Instruction

Add a short line next to the code, such as “Scan to find your photos”, and print the link as text for anyone whose camera won't scan.

Need a page for the QR code to open?

Create an event on Event Face Finder and you get one guest page for the whole event. Guests scan, take a selfie and see the photos they appear in. You can also let them add their own photos from the same page, and your event dashboard has a ready-made QR code for it.

Common questions

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no scan limit. The code is created in your browser and the files are yours to print or share.

Will the QR code expire?

No. The code contains your link, not a redirect. It keeps working for as long as the page it points to is online.

Should I download the PNG or the SVG?

Use the SVG for print: it stays sharp at any size. Use the PNG for slides, emails and messaging apps, and pick a larger PNG size in the options if you need one.

Can I change the link after printing?

Not with a static code. Point it to a page whose address stays the same for the whole event, such as an Event Face Finder guest page, and update what's on that page instead.
