A well-lit selfie helps, but the event photos also need to show your face clearly. Here is how to prepare the image and check a search that returns too few results.
Confirm the event first
Confirm that the page names the correct event and organizer. Check whether the final gallery has finished processing, then use a photograph that contains only your face.
Take a useful reference selfie
Use one face, looking mostly toward the camera, in even light. Remove sunglasses, masks, and heavy shadows. Keep the face large enough to see clearly, but do not crop away the full outline.
Avoid a group photograph, a heavily filtered image, or a picture from many years ago when a current image is available.
Check that the suggested photos show you
Open the suggested photos and check that you recognize yourself. A sideways face, motion blur, strong shadows or someone standing in front of you can make matching harder. Some photos may be missing, and a suggested result may show someone else.
