Selling event photos online starts with a clear offer: which files can guests buy, what quality will they receive and how will they find the photos they want? Set those rules before sending the gallery link. A checkout cannot fix a confusing selection or a missing photograph.
Decide what the purchase includes
Choose an edited set and agree the sales arrangement with the photographer. Write down whether the offer covers one photo or a set, the delivered resolution and the permitted uses. Do not call a preview an original, or promise RAW files when you deliver an exported image.
For example, a race participant looking for a finish photo needs a recognisable preview and a clear description of the downloadable file. An organizer buying a press selection has a different need. Keep those offers distinct.
Make discovery work before payment
Review the selection on a phone. If a guest must browse hundreds of unrelated images, buying becomes a search task. An event gallery with selfie search can help people find likely matches, provided their face is visible. Guests still need to check the results themselves.
In Event Face Finder, the organizer can choose paid full-resolution access, set a guest price and currency, and complete Stripe Connect setup. Paid checkout is blocked until the payout setup is ready. Review the current settings and charges in your account rather than copying a price from another event.
Check the whole purchase journey
Use the provider's test environment where available, then check the actual offer before opening sales:
- The preview corresponds to the delivered image.
- The price and currency are visible before purchase.
- Payment completion gives the expected download access.
- The downloaded file has the promised dimensions.
- A guest who closes the page knows how to return.
See the full-resolution download guide for file-quality checks. Test with a separate guest session; an organizer account can hide access problems.
Give buyers one useful support route
Ask a guest to send the event name, the photo reference and the payment confirmation if access fails. Do not ask them to buy again before checking the original order.
Before you create the event, use the gallery selection guide to decide whether personal search and paid downloads match your delivery plan. Then prepare a small real selection and verify it from a guest phone.
Set up the gallery before you share it
Add your photos, choose what guests can download and open the gallery on your phone before sending the link.
