To download an event photo in full resolution, use the gallery's download option and select the original or high-resolution version if it is offered. Saving a preview or taking a screenshot usually gives you a different file. Full-resolution access depends on the organizer's settings and may require payment.
Find and review the correct photograph before downloading. The photo's appearance on a phone does not tell you which file version is available.
Understand the file choices
A preview helps you choose an image. A smaller web file can be suitable for a message or social post. A high-resolution delivery file has more pixels and is usually more useful for cropping or printing. “Original” can mean the photographer's delivered edited file; it does not necessarily mean a camera RAW file.
Check the gallery's wording and the photographer's delivery agreement. The event photo glossary explains these terms.
Use the download route
- Open the gallery link and complete any required access step.
- Select a photograph and verify that it is the one you want.
- Read the offered file version and price, if any.
- Use the gallery's download button or complete the purchase.
- Open the saved file and check its dimensions and orientation.
In Event Face Finder, available downloads follow the event settings: previews, medium files, full-resolution files or a paid full-resolution option. Viewing a search result does not imply that a free original is included. The page shows the available route for that photo.
Check what actually saved
Look in your browser's downloads or your device's files if the photo is not in the camera roll. Check the filename, file size and pixel dimensions in the file details. Keep the delivered file before making crops or edits.
For a print, ask the printer what dimensions are needed for the chosen size. There is no universal “print quality” label that replaces checking the actual file and intended use.
If the download button is missing
The organizer may have enabled previews only, the gallery may not be ready, or the original may be offered through a separate paid route. Contact the organizer with the event name and photo reference instead of trying to save the display image as a substitute.
If a download link has expired, reopen the event page or the purchase confirmation and request help through the event's support route. Some file links are temporary even while gallery access is still available.
Share the saved file carefully
Send the actual download when another person needs the same version. A screenshot or a messaging app's compressed copy can change the result. Confirm any usage instructions before publishing or passing the file to a commercial team.
Organizers can avoid many questions by stating which downloads are included in the gallery delivery message and testing that route before sending the link.
