Festival photo sharing needs separate lanes for urgent media, artist and sponsor obligations, the final editorial archive, and guest delivery. Trying to serve every audience from one live folder creates permission errors, duplicate edits, and unclear approvals.

Assign the lanes
Use distinct destinations for:
- Same-night social and press selects
- Artist or management review
- Sponsor proof and partner delivery
- Internal master archive
- Public highlight gallery
- Guest or crowd gallery
Name an owner for each lane. One person may hold several roles at a small event, but the decisions should still be distinct.
Standardize ingest
Synchronize clocks, define card labels, agree folder names, and record the stage or zone. Use checksum or verified copy procedures appropriate to the production, and keep two copies before cards are cleared.
Avoid editing directly inside the only source folder. Let editors work from an ingest copy while the archive remains protected.
Handle approvals without stopping the whole event
Flag restricted artists, embargoed sets, credential details, and sponsor requirements in advance. Urgent selects should pass through one named approval contact. Do not send a broad chat channel access to the working archive.
